  • "Together" is a modern garden stone sculpture hand carved from Springstone by Ed Sango. Unlike other forms of garden sculpture it is impossible to replicate the identical patterns that are found within the Springstone. This garden center piece ornament, it can be positioned to be viewed from any angle. This stunning hand-carved African statue is produced from beautiful green Fern Stone. This piece is one of our large garden statues and would make a striking garden feature.

While depictions in African stone sculptures may repeat, the patterns in the Springstone cannot be replicated, making each large garden statue unique. The artist carves the stone using a diamond tipped chisel. It is then sanded for hours through varying degrees of sandpaper until smooth. The sculpture is then heated and a polish is melted into the stone. Finally it is buffered to leave a wonderfully tactile surface, almost irresistible to touch. Enquire today on 0800 772 3253 or get in touch by email,

  • In Edmore's own words.... "I was born in 1977 in Guruve and received my primary education at Nyanhunzi
School, my secondary education at Mamini High School. I started sculpting at
at a tender age; my inspiration was due to the fact that I came from a renowned carving family. During my school holidays I used to help my sister and brother Brighton Sango to finish or polish their sculpture. This helped me to obtain and gain very good experience while I was still very young.

In 1995 after completing my secondary education I decided to become a fulltime sculptor. In 1998 Tom Blomefield invited me to join Tengenenge Sculpture Community. I worked With them for two years. In 2001, I received an invitation to Netherlands from two galleries called World Art Foundation
and Kunst In Depolder to do a workshop and exhibition. It was a successful exhibition and workshop. In 2002 I was invited to Germany to Enlaoe Gallery and we had a successful exhibition and workshop.

I am a resident artist in several galleries in Germany and make regular trips to carve and exhibit my creations."
